GNM Lateral Entry
General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) in the lateral entry is a two-year full-time diploma program.
Eligibility Criteria
10+2 with English and must have received at least 40% in each of the qualifying exam and English separately for any board that is recognised. Additionally, candidates may apply to National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS), which is recognised by the Central Government, and State Open Schools, which are recognised by the State Government. But science is the better option.40% of the marks in the vocational ANM course from the school approved by the Indian Nursing Council are awarded for 10+2 English.Health care science (10+2 with English, 40% of marks) from an accredited CBSE board or centre.The Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, shall acquire the entry qualification equivalence, or the 12th standard. State Nursing Council, the institution, will be in charge of making sure that the eligibility and qualifications match to what has been prescribed above.
